A writer's journal and photography blog documenting 900km of hiking End-to-End on the Bruce Trail from Niagara-on-the-Lake to Tobermory, Canada
We’re just two ordinary suburban professionals who need to get our butts out of our office chairs, breathe some fresh air and move. We love to hike, and some of the best hiking you can do in Southern Ontario is along the Niagara Escarpment, a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve. We’re doing an End to End trek on the Bruce Trail from Niagara-on-the-Lake to Tobermory, Canada. Nine hundred kilometres. Not all at once mind you! We started in Spring 2014, and are making our way north as the seasons turn slowly around us. I like to write, and am fascinated by the natural world. Ian likes to take pictures and find great views. We make a great pair. And then there’s Kelso, our Border Terrier. He doesn’t write or take photos, but he does know what “hike” means, and that’s all he really needs to know, right? Grab the leash and get in the car, we’re Bruce Trail Bound!
We’re so glad you’re joining us. Please visit often. Happy Trails! — Louise & Ian
